8 Kitchen Trends From Danberry Building Corp

8 Kitchen trends and thoughts from the Danberry Building Corp

The Danberry Building Corp has seen some trends and common themes for new kitchens today. A major trend in the last 3 or 4 years is designing your kitchen as more of a living space for more than just food. More often than not, it is the place where family and friends congregate, do homework or watch TV. The kitchen is becoming the most used room in the house. With today’s innovative technology Kitchens can look like a living room, appliances can be hard to find because they are well incorporated and blended into the actual cabinetry of the kitchen.

1. Connecting the kitchen with other living spaces
DBC is continuously seeing homeowners wanting to incorporate living spaces within or right beside the kitchen. This allow friends and family to be closely located to the kitchen while food is being prepared and even long after the food dinner has been served and the dishes have been cleaned. This allows families to spend more time together. Open spaces is become a very common theme.

ROMA Awards

The Danberry Building Corp took home the ROMA award for additions over 600 square feet this year!

Our award winning project on Lake Minnetonka started out as a carriage house remodel, upon completion of the carriage house, Jeff and Lisa Pinkerton decided to start their second project - a 3-story addition on the lake side of the home which included;
• A lower level office on the walk out level
• A four-season porch on the main level
• A new master bedroom above the porch - the old bedroom was creatively converted into walk through for his and hers closets!

The deck, with an arched end, was similar to the titanic that extends out the four panel Marvin sliding door. The arch opens on the street side of the home and is duplicated in the master suite on the gable end.

Our award winning project also included a new carriage house on the back side of the home.
